Highlights, basically every day. This was the trip of a lifetime. We experienced everything we asked for and then some. Rock art, spent two days in a small village, went on safari, saw amazing land- and seascapes, stayed in beautiful guest houses, enjoyed local food (curries!), saw penguins, went cage diving with white sharks, saw Baobab trees, had fun in Cape Town, met so many wonderful people. Saving to go back!

Tales from Africa travel created for us the perfect trip taking into account the different wishes of both the parents as well as the kids. During the selection process, questions were answered quickly and changes made instantly and alternatives offered. It is clear that Tales from Africa Travel knows South Africa and they know what their customers want. It was our first time in South Africa, but this trip has given us a real appetite to see more. Next time to the wider Cape Town area and there is only one company for us to organize it.

Tales from Africa Travel organized a family holiday for us twice. We had the most wonderful, adventurous and relaxed times. The organization was flawless, the hotels, lodges and cottages cozy and luxurious, the game-drives full of surprises. They really listen to your wishes and the journey they organize will absolutely live up to your expectations. Moreover, they make suggestions of places and activities you would have never thought of, like the Ribola art route where you make a real connection to South African people.

What a fantastic experience! A friend recommended Henko and Tales from Africa Travel. At first I was doubtful, as I have never been impressed by travel agents and prefer to do my own planning. But now I wish I could have Henko arrange all my travel. He really understood what we were looking for – accommodation and excursions were perfect! The places he selected all had a unique style. I especially loved the view from our room in Hermanus where Henko had arranged a fantastic Fair Trade Tourism certified shark diving trip. It really made a difference having a local expert and I would recommend “Tales from Africa” to anyone! Thank you Henko for a wonderful trip!

Tales from Africa listened carefully to our wishes and customized our tour as we wanted it. We made a father and son trip to South Africa, where the real adventure started. In Cape Town we cooked a delicious curry in the cook’s family home in the Bo-Kaap and had a surprisingly tasty wine-chocolate pairing in Franschhoek. In Kruger, Tales from Africa had found a truly unique location, an authentic old safari lodge, which we had completely to ourselves – including our own game drive vehicle and catering. Completely off-grid but what a super ambience with wood fire and oil lamps. It doesn’t get more real than this!

An awesome experience thanks only to Henko´s outstanding efforts and service. Henko planned and organized my whole last-minute trip within a few hours to allow even the most spontaneous traveler to get her COVID test in time. With almost no information from my side, Henko arranged the perfect guide and made sure that I didn´t miss out on any of Namibia´s spectacular sights, animals and experiences. Even on tour Henko arranged for changes in the background. Can´t think of any other person who could have made this fantastic holiday possible.
