Any company is only as good as the people behind it. Live2Roam-Africa is a joined venture between a large South African tour operator and two Dutchies aiming to live in South Africa. Our future plans are not geared towards unlimited growth, but towards offering and maintaining a high standard. We want to keep our customers happy at all times. Because we believe that is the only way we can keep on sharing our love and passion for our tours and our country with you! And no, we are not superhuman, but we are good in what we do: make your dream come true. Carefree. So who are we?
Berna van Rooijen
Berna is a well-balanced combination of slight eccentricity, passion and a practical, targeted way of handing things. She grew up in The Hague and worked there for 10 years with disordered children. During that time she got a degree in management. Having travelled one year through Africa on her own she made up her mind: exchange her old job for being a tour guide, so she could share the beauty of this magnificent continent with others. Southern Africa between Cape Town and Vic Falls has become her second home, so much so that it seems only natural to move and work there. Berna takes care of most of the Social Media marketing so if you like a post, she likes you.
Subscribing to the same balanced combination as Berna, born in the Philippines and with a childhood in Ecuador, travelling is something Henko literally grew up with. Educated as a landscape architect, Henko spend subsequently 10 years as a tour guide all over the world. He then exchanged guiding for working in the office of the same travel company. The last years he worked as Brandmanager and as such was responsible for all content and results of the company’s tours and marketing strategy. Passion, a well-thought out, sustainable company strategy and commercial results all joined forces in Henko’s philosophy. He was for instance the instigator of integrating sustainability into the travel company. Together with Berna he has now exchanged his old job for his passion: sharing the beauty that is South-Africa.
